Taxi miracle - 19 Apr 2004

So exciting !

Just now my colleagues and i were just walking back to the office after lunch. We saw a green cab passed by and i told her that i saw a silver cab yesterday at city hall. My colleague then said she had not seen any of the red or the silver cab before, she only saw the green cab so far.

Guess what ? The moment those words departed from her mouth, we saw a silver cab turn in around the bend and passed by directly in front of us ! Immediately both of us looked at each other and laughed ... my colleague said, "wah, so zhun ah"... whil i said, "wow, very blessed!" Then i was reminded of what Pastor said yesterday abt the woman "talking to herself", convincing herself of the goodness of God. And i praised Him in my heart.

Then while we were crossing the road to our building, we said, "ok, now only left the red cab that my colleague has not seen" .... Guess what ? We turned around to look out for any cars and lo and behold a red cab !!! Wow... cannot believe it sister ! God is so awfully good ! hahahha

Then when we finally reached our building, we saw yet another silver cab ! I think God is saying, my blessings are abundant my child, always more than you know !

I'm feel so blessed and favoured ! Praise Him !

Amazing story...

从前有一座很大的城堡，名叫郭富城。里面住着刘德华和张惠妹一对夫妻。有一天，他们吃完黄子蕉后，去周星池会喝水。正当他们下着丁文棋，而刘德华下舒棋时，突然间刮起了一阵谢霆风，从水中冒出了一条吴奇龙。

吴奇龙手持着郑伊剑，骑着黄家驹，抢走了张惠妹。这时刘德华手持周华剑，踏着温兆轮，翻过了李茂山，穿过了蔡依林，跃过了罗江，终于他回了张惠妹回到郭富城，还在城中挂起了任贤旗。

后来，吴奇龙不死心，换了一把张伪剑，踏上周杰轮，到了柯赐海，坐上赵船，又回到了郭富城。他抢走了张惠妹，拆了任贤旗，换插梁泳旗。

于是刘德华他马上撒了一把葛明灰，召唤出午马，并以其当坐骑。顶着大大的五月天，天上又有朵许茹云，又穿过何耀山，翻过张震狱，经过陈慧林，越过陈山河，脚踏滨崎步，手使出剑气潘迎指， 划破了吴奇龙的仓木麻衣。

吴奇龙赶紧拿起吴宗线跟陈琦针，却缝不好，又打暴她的脱拉裤，害吴奇龙的飞鸟凉。吴奇龙只好爬上葵墙，拉了个反丁隆屎回家种宇多田。没想到却引起了李蚊和郑秀蚊。一气之下，把他们打死在赵之壁上。

反丁隆屎经过百万年后变成了穿岛合金石，终于打败了吴奇龙。

Psalm 139

Been having a slight pain in my right pelvic bone lately. Not sure if its due to the gym workouts but I am sure it’s not of God. Then I was reading the articles inside the Kenneth Copeland Ministry website and came across one article that talked about “God having our miracle on His mind always”. It went on to talk about Psalm 139.

As I read the whole Psalm 139, I am amazed at so much “gems” are inside this Psalm.

Jesus knows us, when we sit and rise, He knows our thoughts, He knows what we are about to say or do … He knows ! (v1-4)

Jesus will guide us with His hand and His right hand (righteousness) will hold on to us (v10). So we need never be fearful cos Jesus will never let go !

Jesus created us when we were inside our mother’s womb and we praise Him (v13-14). Jesus has a perfect plan for all of us, it had all been planned and written inside His book (v16).

For me, now comes one of the best portion …

God is always thinking of us ! And He really mean “ALWAYS” !!!!!!! Those thoughts that God has for us would even outnumber the grains of sand !! (v17-18)

Wow ! Isn’t it awesome to have someone so BIG, HIGH, MIGHTY & POWERFUL to be ALWAYS thinking of you ALL THE TIME ???? I don’t know about you, but I will think I am the most most most most most most most (~) blessed gal in the whole wide world !!!!!

Jesus can do anything and everything for you if you ask Him. All we have to do is to speak out / speak up and He knows. He wants to see our faith in action when we bring our requests to Him. So be bold and ask !

Coming back to the pain in my right pelvic bone lately. I reject that pain in Jesus name. As written in the above Psalm 139 itself, our parts are all written in God’s book, thus all of them must conformed to the way God designed them to be. I command all my body parts to be whole and complete in agreement with God’s book. All of my parts are intact with nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing fractured. And all parts of my body function and work as they’re designed. I receive what the Book says about me in Jesus name ! Amen. (Adapted from prayer of Billye Brim)

I’m expecting a miracle and I know I will receive it. Not based on my works, or actions or my self-righteousness but all because of what Jesus had done on the cross. By His death and resurrection, we are all set free !

Babies never fail to amaze me !

Yesterday I spent the afternoon after church services at my aunt’s house. My cousin and his wife soon came with their little bundle of joy, baby Emma. Baby Emma will soon be 4 months and she is a real cutie. Her eyes are big and now she has learnt to turn her head to look at you when you call her name. Her legs are strong and she loves to lift them up. She even played “hi-5” using her small little feet with me !

Did you know that babies can sing too ? Ok, they make some “noise” if you would like to call that cos we adults don’t understand those baby languages. When my cousin and his wife went off for dinner in the living room, I volunteered to stay with baby Emma to keep her company. She looked at me with her big eyes and make small little gurgling sounds. So I began singing to her. I sang 2 songs, Jesus Loves Me, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. To my amazement, when I was singing, baby Emma sang together with me… Yes, she did. She really did. Hahaha… When I told my cousin and his wife about it, they were amazed, and said they will try singing to baby Emma at home from now on. Praise Jesus !

Testimony - Handphone

I changed a new hand phone recently. My sister changed hers too at the same time. Later on, she realized that she was actually over-charged by S$30. So I called up the company on her behalf and requested for a refund of S$30. A week passed and my sister received the cheque yesterday and know what ? It was a cheque refund of S$100. Wow, first thought that came in was, “So blessed manz, we asked for S$30 refund and God gave us S$100 ! Hurry up, go bank in the cheque !” Thinking back, my sister recalled this little conversation between herself and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend wanted to get the same phone too and was looking around for a good deal. Then he realized that the price for the same phone which my sister bought about 2 weeks ago had actually dropped. My sister was upset that the price had dropped (more than S$50 difference) with just a 2 weeks difference. The boyfriend was telling her, “Well, you have used & enjoyed the phone for 2 weeks, so the difference in the price is worth it lar”. However, my sister wasn’t convinced. Combining the whole incident now, we realized that God actually made the company returned to my sister the price difference ! If S$30 was for the actual refund amount (which we asked for), then the balance S$70 would be the “compensation” for the price difference, isn’t it ? Hallelujah ! Praise You Jesus ! As Christians, we never lose out cos we have a Daddy in Heaven who is watching over us, over every step of our way. Don’t differentiate between small things or big things. Don’t underestimate His power. Jesus says, “Cast ALL (he didn’t specify if they have to be BIG or small) your cares to Him for He cares for you”. So start casting your cares now !!!!!!!!!

VCDs and me...

Had just finished watching 2 korean vcd shows lately. One is called “My bride is 18 years old” and another show called “Stairway to Heaven”. My bride is 18 years old It’s a show about a matchmaking session done by the male and female lead characters’ parents while they were still very young. 18 years later, the male and female lead character finally “have-to” get married, initial intention was to “satisfy” each other’s commitments. The female lead does not want to study and does not want to go to their local university, so getting married would be just the way out for her. The male lead is 28 years old and he is working as a Prosecutor in the country. He decides to get married to this female lead as he wants to please his grandfather. His parents died when he was very young and he is very close to his grandfather. Ok, so they got married finally and moved to a new place of their own. The story developed from here, how they slowly got along, how they adjusted to each other’s living patterns, how they supported and encouraged each other and how they started to fall in love with one another. May seem a little sad in between, but watch on and there is a good ending to this show. Praise God. And yes, the scenery is beautiful.. esp the one on top of the hill.. breathtaking … Through the above show, I‘ve learnt that age is no barrier when it comes to love. When 2 parties decide to come together and form a family, loving one another becomes a decision, no longer a choice. Husbands are to love their wives just as Christ love the church and wives are to submit to their husbands. Also, mutual respect and trust are essential points in a successful marriage. Praise God. Stairway to Heaven For those of you who loves a good old touching love story or if its been ages since you last cried (and washed your eyes with your tears, hee hee, can take as challenge lar), this show is a must watch. For one, the storyline isn’t new and the ending is rather predictable. So what makes the difference ? The difference ? The difference is of coz the handsome male lead lor.. hahahaa… me normal as any other gal ok ? The handsome male lead is 权 相 宇. He acted in another korean movie show called “My Tuition Teacher”. He was that bad student who later fell in love with his tuition teacher in this show and became good. Ok ok, back to the story. Hmm.. male lead and female lead were from rich families. They grew up together and liked each other. Female lead mum died of eye cancer and so the father re-married. Female lead suddenly had a new step mother, step sister and step brother. The step sister is not good (obviously) while the step brother is elusive and loves only to paint. Male lead went overseas to study, but before he left, both he and the female lead made a commitment to each other that they would get together as soon as he comes back. During the period that the male lead was away, the female lead was bullied by the step mother and step sister. By a twist of fate, the step brother found himself loving the female lead. Soon they all grew up and on the day that the male lead was back and arranged to meet the female lead, the step sister drove a car (without licence) and rammed into the female lead. Female lead lost her memory and everyone thought she was dead. The step brother brought the female lead to another location, gave her a new name and took care of her. 5 years later, the female lead became a successful fashion designer. Meanwhile, the male lead had never stopped thinking of the female lead. He saw her in the Disneyland grounds that his company had and chased her from then on. Soon the female lead regained her memory and remembered everything about the male lead, his promises and all. But there is a problem. The male lead had already agreed to be engaged to the step sister. Finally, the male lead and female lead did get married. But then the worst had to happen somehow, the female lead was diagnosed to have eye cancer – supposedly inherited from her mum (classic isn’t it ?). She then went for treatment and all, the step brother even committed suicide in order to donate his corneas to her. All these while, the male lead stayed by her, supported her and loved her. He would not let her go. Okie, the female lead finally died in the male lead arms and they made a pact to meet in heaven. This time the female lead will wait for the male lead just like the period of time where the male lead waited for the female lead when she disappeared and was presumably “dead” for 5 years. Come to think of it, this story is really boring. But I suppose what makes up for it is the handsome actors and beautiful actresses expressions, their emotions portrayed, the music. Once again, their scenery is great. Personally I would love to have such a house near the beach. But what touches me the most is the relentless pursuit of love by the male lead. He didn’t once forget about the female lead even while he was overseas and the moment he touched down from the plane, he went to the same beach house where both the female lead and him stayed when they were younger. God’s love for us is even more relentless compared to the above. He died for us while we were yet sinners, when we don’t even know Him, when we have not accepted Him to be our personal Saviour and Lord. He waited for us, He courted us, He woo us.. God is such a lover and yet despite the many times we reject Him, God still continues on His part. And even when we have accepted Him into our hearts, God still continues to court and woo us… If God had simply just given up on us, what will happen ?

IQ Question

Imagine you are in Africa. You have been tied hanging on a tree with a rope anchored on the ground, a candle is slowly burning the rope, and the lion is waiting for you to drop and be his lunch. Your survival hinges on the rope staying intact, there is no one around to help you. The only possible way is to somehow convince the lion to BLOW the candle out. How do you do that?

His love & peace in the family

Recently went to a friend’s house for gathering. Her house was not exactly neat & tidy, nor was it spick and span. Nonetheless, as I stepped into the house, there was this intangible spirit of love, peace and welcome filling every corner of the house. I am not sure if any of my friends who were with me felt the same, but I knew I did. My friend (she’s a Christian too) has 2 bubbly and cheerful kids and also a doting husband. In fact, it was the husband who cooked and prepared food for us. And it was delicious… yummy ! As I sat there slowly savouring & digesting my food, I was acutely aware of this spirit of love that was present in the house. You feel as though you are surrounded and wrapped from top to toe by this spirit of love. You feel free, you feel relaxed…. Something in my mind said, “you are just imagining lar, where got such thing ?” But that thought doesn’t blow away the actual experience of this whole matter. While I was there in the house, as I see the way my friend and her husband handles or treat their kids, I come to believe that this spirit of love and peace in the house is really God-given. The head of the household (husband) and the wife, should be on the same faith (that matches with God’s teaching on being equally yoked yar ?) so they can fully “exercise” the grace of God in their home, their family. What I see is definitely the grace of God working in this family. It is not flaky or pretentious but real and sincere. On my way home that night, as I sat in the taxi, this verse keeps coming to me, “You do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2) I believed this is from the Holy Spirit as He was so gentle and spoke so softly within me. It was not a rebuke. It was more like a reminder. And so I asked God, did I not ask You ? Or perhaps I did ask, but with the wrong motives ? God, please enlighten and show me where I am lacking Lord. Needless to say, God did show me. How ? What ? Hee hee.. too personal to share here yar ? Briefly, God showed me a few areas that I need to work on (with His grace definitely) and He also encouraged me a great deal from His words, from Pastor’s preaching and from the friends around me. I am blessed manz. So now I boldly come to Him to pray and ask for a family (my own family to come and also my family now) filled with God’s love and His spirit of peace. Thank you Daddy. You are always always always so good.

Are there any more GENTLEMEN around ?

I was walking to church yesterday in CityLink. There were 2 men (they were friends) in front of me also walking towards the exit that goes up to Marina Square building. Both men pushed open the glass door (ie. both sides), and went out. I was just a step behind them, but they simply let the glass door swing back and it almost hit me right on my face if I had not moved back swiftly to avoid it. Can’t they hold the glass door for a while longer or at least turn back and see if there is anyone behind ? The glass door is not light yar ? It’s those heavy ones… imagine one slamming on your face !? I just pray for more “gentlemen” to be around. Guys, be a little bit more “sensitive” can ? Seriously, I think we girls will be really appreciative to those small little acts of yours.
